Ensuring Success
As you embark on this academic journey, we want to set clear expectations to ensure your success.
At LTU, we value your commitment to your studies and active participation in the online classroom. We expect you to demonstrate a strong commitment to your studies throughout the semester by dedicating sufficient time and effort to your coursework.
As an online student, it is essential to proactively manage your time, maintain a regular study schedule, and prioritize your academic responsibilities. Please plan to spend at least three hours each week of work outside of the class meeting time for every credit hour of the class. For example, if you have a three-credit class, you should plan to spend at least nine hours a week on coursework outside of class meeting time.
Our synchronous courses require attendance during scheduled sessions for real-time interaction, collaborative discussions, and a sense of community. By actively engaging, you’ll maximize learning outcomes for yourself and others and thrive in the online classroom.
We are excited to have you join our academic community and look forward to supporting you throughout your educational journey. With your dedication and active involvement, we are confident you will succeed in the online classroom and achieve your academic goals.
