Design Build Studio

Aligning with our principles of theoretical practice, the online M.Arch program is coupled with a Design Build Studio that is completed over the summer and is the only course not available online. During this summer session, you’ll join us on campus for four hands-on weekend sessions where you’ll practice applying the knowledge you’ve learned throughout the program.

Different program formats for different academic backgrounds.

Not all aspiring architects have the same academic backgrounds. That’s why we offer 2 program formats to provide the best level of support to earning your masters.

If you hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from a NAAB accredited institution,

our format will complement your undergraduate education with 47 additional credit hours of advanced architectural coursework.

If you hold an undergraduate degree other than Architecture,

our 3+ year format includes an additional set of architectural courses required to become a licensed Architect. Depending on your academic background, you may be exempt from some classes.
